Beyond Limits: Three Lives, One Message of Perseverance
Sandro Antonio López Girón, Ronald Orlando Pesantes Vera and Juan Carlos Machaca Mendieta
Sandro Antonio López Girón
Sandro joined the Ann Sullivan Center of Peru (CASP) at age 5 with a diagnosis of autism. Today, at 44, he is a living example of perseverance, love, and overcoming challenges. From a young age, he showed an extraordinary memory and a great sense of responsibility, qualities that made him stand out in every task he undertook. He trained in the Supported Employment program at CASP, and for 29 years he has worked continuously, at companies including Wong, Alusud Perú, and currently at Unimaq Ferreycorp, where his punctuality, discipline, and collaborative spirit have made him a role model for his coworkers.
But beyond his work, Sandro is a man with a big heart: when his father became ill with Alzheimer's, he proudly covered his treatment expenses, proving that love is also shown through actions. He enjoys music, singing, and dancing, and loves spending time with his pets.
He has represented Peru in the Special Olympics, competing in athletics and swimming, even traveling to Atlanta for an event organized by Delta Air Lines.
Ronald Orlando Pesantes Vera
Ronald entered the Ann Sullivan Center of Peru (CASP) at age 5 with a diagnosis of autism. Since then, he has built an inspiring story marked by discipline, self-confidence, and academic excellence.
He graduated as a Public Accountant from the Universidad Tecnológica del Perú, achieving an outstanding academic record thanks to his perseverance and organization. He enhanced his training with Advanced Excel courses at IDAT and seminars in finance and professional development, strengthening both his technical and interpersonal skills. He has worked at Prosegur Activa Perú S.A. as a Human Resources Assistant and at CAP Asesores Empresariales S.A.C. as an accounting trainee. He is currently working as a Billing Pool Assistant at Unimaq Ferreycorp.
Ronald has lived alone for four years and has managed to maintain an independent life. He also supports his family financially, showing that independence is not only a personal achievement but also a way to give love in return.
Juan Carlos Machaca Mendieta
Juan Carlos came to CASP when he was just 3 years old, diagnosed with autism. Today, at 30, his life shows how education and perseverance can open any door.
He has been part of the CASP family since 1997, and he has worked in companies such as Marcobre, Soltrak (Ferreycorp), and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), always standing out for his punctuality, dedication, and positive attitude.
In addition to his skills in administration and accounting, Juan Carlos is proficient in digital tools including Word and Excel. But his story goes beyond the office: he moves about the city on his own, practices athletics, swimming, and soccer, and greatly enjoys cooking, where he combines organization and creativity. When his mother became ill, he took care of her medical expenses and lovingly tended to her, even taking her on vacation to a province in Peru. His life reflects the spirit of CASP: people who not only work but also love, help, and transform their environment through their example.
